[ 줄거리 ]
마이애미 강력반 최고의 콤비로 여전히 왕성하게 활동하고 있는 ‘마이크’와 ‘마커스’. 마이크의 결혼식 날, 급성 심장 마비로 혼수상태에 빠졌던 마커스는 ‘하워드’ 반장의 환영을 본 뒤 의식을 회복하게 된다.
곧이어 가족 같았던 하워드 반장이 사망 전 마약 카르텔 조직의 비리에 연루되었다는 뉴스 속보를 접하게 된다.
하워드 반장에 대한 수사가 시작된 가운데 마이크와 마커스는 반장이 남긴 비밀 메시지를 받게 되고 사건의 진실을 밝히기 위해 위험한 수사를 시작한다.
한편 반장에게 누명을 씌우고 암살을 사주한 자의 얼굴을 유일하게 알고 있는 카르텔 조직원이자 마이크의 아들인 ‘아르만도’의 도움으로 범죄 조직의 거대한 음모가 서서히 드러난다.
