일 볼로와 엔니오 모리꼬네는 10여 년 전 처음으로 인연을 맺었다. 데뷔 앨범으로 세계적인 주목을 받으며 글로벌 활동을 펼치고 있던 세 사람은 2011년 11월, 이탈리아의 포폴로 광장에서 열린 엔니오 모리꼬네의 콘서트 무대에 올랐다. 그룹은 마에스트로의 지휘에 맞춰 [원스 어폰 어 타임 인 아메리카](1984)의 테마곡에 가사를 붙인 ‘E Più Ti Penso’를 불러 뜨거운 박수를 받았다. 이날 이후 ‘E Più Ti Penso’는 트리오가 공연에서 자주 부르는 곡 중 하나가 됐다. 그런가 하면 올해 3월 열린 [산레모 음악제] 축하 무대에선 [옛날 옛적 서부에서](1968)를 테마로 한 ‘Your Love’를 불러 깊은 인상을 남겼다.
