[줄거리]
작은 프로덕션에서 웨딩 비디오 만드는 일을 하는 ‘더그’는 영화감독의 꿈을 잃지는 않았지만 현실은 녹록치 않다.
‘그리프’는 바라던 대로 배우가 되었지만 가정도 이루지 못하고 오디션과 단역을 전전할 뿐이다.
오랜만에 만나게 된 죽마고우인 이들은 어렸을 때 열정에 가득 차 만들었던 단편 비디오를 보다가 그들이 좋아하는 영화 ‘아나콘다’를 리메이크해보기로 한다.
네 명의 친구들은 초저예산으로 아마존 정글로 떠나고 촬영은 순조롭게 이어지는 듯 하다가 뱀이 죽는 사고가 발생한다.
새 뱀을 찾으러 한밤중에 정글을 헤매던 이들은 거대한 육식 뱀 아나콘다를 실제로 맞닥뜨리게 되고 죽을 뻔한 위기에서 겨우 벗어난다.
갑자기 더 좋은 아이디어가 떠오른 더그는 각본을 수정하고, 위험을 무릅쓰고 추가 촬영에 들어가지만 그리프와 크게 다투게 된다.
