2장의 바이닐 음반은 헤비 LP 컬렉터이기도 한 조영욱 음악감독의 감수 아래 아날로그 마스터링 작업을 새롭게 거쳤으며, 세계적인 LP 프레스 공장인 일본 동양화성(Toyosekai)을 통해 생산되었다.
도서, 도록, 포스터, 음반 등 폭넓은 분야에 걸쳐 지금 현재 그래픽 디자인 신에서 가장 뜨거운 활약을 보여주고 있는 디자이너 듀오 ‘신신'이 참여한 음반 디자인은 영화의 중요한 요소인 ‘안개'처럼 시각적으로도 정서적으로도 유연한 ‘흐름’의 연속성을 컨셉으로 설계되었다.
“서래와 해준의 두 눈동자가 한 곳으로 모아지는 순간으로부터, 좁디 좁은 골짜기에 꽂힌 대나무를 거쳐, 포말이 되어버린 서래의 옆모습으로 “마침내” 마무리 된다.” 이는 게이트폴드 앨범 커버에 적용된 앞쪽, 안쪽, 뒤쪽의 시각적 요소들을 순서대로 표현한 것인데, 영화의 큰 줄기를 바이닐 커버의 구조에 접목해 본 것이다.
구체적으로, 흑연 빛깔로 별색 UV 인쇄된 해준의 초상과 그 앞을 희뿌연 안개처럼 가리며 흰색으로 스크린 인쇄된 서래의 초상을 눈을 기준으로 맞물리게 처리한 앞모습. 그대로 시선을 옮겨 서래의 완측면을 부서지는 포말로 연출한 뒷모습. 그 사이를 비집고 들어가 내부의 정중앙에서 마주치게 되는 것은 모래사장에 꽂꽂하게 버티고 있는 대나무 줄기다.
‘안개'라는 디자인 컨셉을 부드러운 질감의 투과형 종이인 트래싱지에 적용한 8p 부클릿은 디자인적으로 중첩되는 요소들의 레이어감을 가변적으로 조정하며, 텍스트를 쉽게 읽을 수 있도록 책받침과 같은 역할의 별도 삽지를 동봉하여 제공하는 디테일이 돋보인다. 부클릿에 동봉된 SBS 최다은 PD의 라이너 노트와 조영욱 음악감독 인터뷰는 오직 이번 바이닐 앨범만을 위해 새롭게 작성되었다.
